Article highlights CARBO's expertise in proppant selection and placementPublished Date: 9/23/2013
Terry Palisch, CARBO's director of petroleum engineering, was recently interviewed by The Bakken magazine about proppant selection and placement in the Williston Basin. Palisch explains the technology and expertise that CARBO deploys to maximize its clients' return on investment. CARBO's engineering and design team uses computer modeling to pinpoint the appropriate proppant size and type for any given well. And by carefully studying and planning proppant placement, CARBO can recommend the use of different types of proppants, including sand and resin-coated sand, to be used along with superior strength ceramic proppants to reduce overall costs without sacrificing EUR.
